As a graduate of UCLA and NYU film schools, Amanda has years of experience working as a Writer and Director. She started her career making documentaries for the BBC in the UK, then freelanced on everything from feature films, TV series and commercials before pursuing her passion for improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC and IO Theater in Chicago.

Amanda’s films have screened at major film festivals and on television sets around the world. Amanda won the Australian Director's Guild Metroscreen Open Fellowship and was flown to Los Angeles to pitch her original projects to producers, managers, agents and studio execs.

Amanda was a finalist in the Page International Screenwriting Awards with her feature script Baby Boomers which placed in the top ten (comedy category) out of more than 6,000 scripts from around the world.

Most recently, Amanda shadowed director Erin White (Wellmania) on the new Paramount Plus TV series Paper Dolls. Prior to that, Amanda shadowed Oscar-nominated director Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy) on the Sony Pictures feature film Ladies in Black.

Amanda’s passion is writing and directing “traumedy”, exploring the funny side of trauma - think Fleabag, Grace and Frankie, Under the Tuscan Sun. She has written and directed ten short films and is currently in development on her first feature film, Baby Boomers.

Amanda has a US greencard and an Australian passport and currently works between both countries.
