Amanda’s films have screened at major festivals including Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF), St Kilda Film Festival and Flickerfest, and reached global audiences on Sky TV (UK), RAI TV (Italy), NHK (Japan) and Virgin Airlines. Amanda began her career making documentaries for the BBC, then freelanced on feature films and TV series. Along the way, she accidentally discovered improv comedy, which consumed all of her waking thoughts for a decade. Amanda’s talent has been recognized by the Australian Director's Guild, winning the Metroscreen Fellowship. In 2026, her feature script Childless Cat Ladies placed in the top 25% of the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition out of 12,500 entries. Her feature script Baby Boomers was a finalist in the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards. Amanda has shadowed two acclaimed directors on set: Oscar-nominated Bruce Beresford (Ladies in Black, Sony Pictures) and Erin White (Paper Dolls, Paramount TV).
